Staff Profiles
James Barrows, CPA
Jim graduated with honors from The State University of New York at Plattsburgh and Bryant University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Masters degree in Taxation respectively. Jim has worked in both public accounting and private industry with a tremendous real estate background. He has experience working for one of the largest CPA firms in the world as well as working at one of the nation’s largest public home builders as vice president of finance of the Rhode Island Division of the company.
In addition to Jim’s extensive employment history he also ran his own building company for a number of years before selling the company and re-entering the public accounting realm. He is able to help clients as they negotiate the business landscape with his hands-on knowledge as well as his keen business acumen.
Jim is a member of The American Institute of CPA’s, The Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants, and The National Association of Tax Professionals.
Sean Greenfield, CPA
Sean graduated Magna Cum Laude from Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy with concentrations in Management Accounting and Casino Operations and from Providence College with a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance.
He focuses his practice on small business and individual tax planning ensuring that his clients know how their business stands at all time, throughout the year.
Sean is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants. He also volunteers his time with several local non-profits providing accounting support and consulting.
Ben Aceto, CPA
A graduate of Providence College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Ben is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Ben’s many years of experience in public accounting and private industry have provided the foundation for preparing financial statements, bookkeeping, and complete payroll services for any type of business. He has extensive experience preparing individual, federal and state tax returns and specializes in working with small business owners.
Ben always welcomes the opportunity to guide his clients through their challenging day-to-day situations as well as their long-term strategic plans that go well beyond the typical accounting and tax issues.
Stacy LaCaze, Senior Staff Accountant
As a former business owner of a construction company and other business ventures along with many years in banking and finance, Stacy knows the complexity of running a business and financials.
Stacy is responsible for the payroll function of the company as well as day-to-day operation and management of the office to include human resources, workflow management, accounts receivable and accounts payable, bookkeeping, payroll, and client management, bringing over 15 years of experience to the firm.
